History
In 2005, Quincy Asian Resources Inc. (QARI) developed a youth program to promote leadership and career awareness among Asian teens. In each of the past 3 years, 6-12 high school students have planned, coordinated, and marketed career-oriented workshops and conferences attended by an average of 125+ peers and involving 40+ Asian American professionals. The youth program also created and maintained a career website as an educational tool for their peers. In addition, students visited Asian American professionals at their workplaces to see their work first hand; visits have included the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Manet Community Health Center, Suffolk County Court House, South Shore Mental Health and Boston City Hall.
