QUINCY — Dragon dancing? Check. Taiko drumming? All set. Moon bounces? Of course.
All that and much more – from bubble tea to, for the first time, Irish step dancing – made Sunday’s August Moon Festival among the most diverse, well-attended and energetic in the event’s 22 years.
Hurricane Bill passed well to the east of Massachusetts, leaving revelers to brave not high winds and rain but heat and humidity. Still, whether they were dancing, eating or learning, the thousands who packed Hancock Street appeared happy to be there.
