After two weeks studying and working in this program, my English skill is getting better. Furthermore, I have learnt lots of job skills, like Microsoft Office, how to write resume and cover letter. That ‘s really useful for my future jobs and this week I have tried to be a teacher assistant in Elderly computer class. I taught the seniors how to go online and how to use Microsoft word. Maybe it’s difficult for them to learn computer but they are still willing to learn and make progress. I enjoyed being able to help and talk with them. I should learned from their diligence and rich experience as well.

To able to communicate with others is really nice, because we can keep a relationship with them and get along, but for those who are immigrants, communication is the hardest things because they speak a different language, everything seems new to them, and the class, sometimes it’s fun and other time I feel bored, but it’s beneficial to learn how to communicate with others.

I am very happy to work in the Quincy Asian Resources on the August Moon Festival program. In the past two weeks, I learned a lot of English, it is very useful to me. The August Moon festival is coming soon, I am preparing the culture part for the program. We designed many good games for people to welcome them to the August Moon Festival.

I do not know what can I write. I feel there are many things to write. We designed the blog, drew pictures and write news letter. I changed my class to group 2. That is harder than group 1. But I try to do better in my job. Never said do best. Only better。

I am Xiaojing Li. I enjoyed taking classes of last week. We share our stories. They told me how to get the job in the future. I think it very helpful to me.  I had learned a lot of things, such as Power Point.  I study English everyday. I was happy in the English class too.

In the past few weeks, I learn a lot. I knew everyone can be a leader, but we should know about ourselves. It is important for us. It can help us to be succeeded. I also learn how to write cover letter and resume in the English class. It will help us to lay the foundation, and we can find a job easily in the future. Being confident can help us to be successful.

For last few weeks, we learned many things about the interview. We mostly learned words we need to use during the interview, like creative, active, outgoing, etc. Because during the interview we should describe what kind of personality we have, so for those we can use to describe our personality.

On the past two weeks, I was going to the class of the summer job program; there are two classes; English and job skill class. For the English class, I learned how to write the resume and cover letter, and I know those are important for my future to find a job.  In my Job Skill class, we were talking about ourselves and find out the question, and solved it. Then we can know more about ourselves. Furthermore, we learned about communication, know how to talk with other people and this is an important skill that needed while working with another person.

In the second week, I continued to study and learn a lot. In this week, I got a lot of information about how to search and develop the career from the job skill class, it is very useful to my future, and I like it very much. I learned how to write a resume to apply the job by using Microsoft word from the English class. In the Job Skill class, I started to work on the preparation for the game called “you are my eyes”. I drew the picture for the game with my teamate. From this, I know how important the teamwork is. I like these work and I hope the rest of the week will be very fun.

On the second week, I learn a lot of new information about applying a job. I learn to write a resume and cover letter using Microsoft word. I designed the newsletter for QARI. In job skill class, I learn much about excel and power point. The processes of learning are very fun. I think all of these skills will play a very important role in my future career.
